rules

Service rules

MonoForge is built for honest project work. These rules keep the service usable on a small server and safe for everyone.

What you can upload

Upload source code, documentation, examples, assets and project files that you have the right to store and share. Do not upload malware, stolen data, secrets, credentials, private keys or files intended to harm other people.

Limits are part of the product

Large uploads, too many files and unsafe file types can be blocked. The goal is not to punish users, but to keep the service fast and predictable on modest hardware.

Public projects are really public

If a repository is public, anyone can read it, search for it and open its files. Do not publish private information by accident. Use private visibility when you are unsure.

Discussions should stay useful

Issues and comments should help a project move forward. Spam, harassment, impersonation and automated noise can lead to limits or account removal.

Security reports

If you find a vulnerability, report it with enough detail to reproduce the problem. Do not use access to private repositories, data or infrastructure as proof.
